Derek VanderRoest, PTA

Derek was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. He has been heavily involved in athletics and sports since his early teen years including basketball, track & field, hiking, swimming, and karate.

Derek has served in the U.S. Marines as a rifleman and scout swimmer; he was able to experience the culture and diversity of people and places around the world.

Derek’s initial therapy training was completed at Macomb College in Michigan, where he graduated #1 in his class with an Associates of Applied Science in Physical Therapy Assisting in May of 2010. He has been in Prescott area and working at the Center for Physical Excellence ever since.

Derek enjoys the field of orthopedics and athletic rehab; he believes in exercise and movement to achieve your goals and improve your quality of life.
